Win a day of green photography

28th May 2013

I firmly believe that caring for the environment and running a successful business can, and should, go hand in hand. They are not mutually exclusive as some believe. The architecture and construction industries in particular present some great issues environmentally, but also some great opportunities. Over the next few months I’d like to work more closely with those architects and developers who are putting sustainablity at the heart of their projects. So I’m offering a FULL DAY of photography for free to one client who has a ‘green’ project that they would like imagery of. I’m thinking BREEAM certified projects, Passivhaus developments etc. No catches, but needs to be UK please. If you’re interested drop me a line before June 7th and I’ll choose whichever project seems most deserving! Depending on response this may be something I repeat regularly, so any thoughts on this as a scheme are most welcome.

Use of Images

5th April 2013

Some great use of my photography on this just-launched site for Gables Medical Ltd, based in Seaton Burn near Newcastle. They were clear from the start that they wanted imagery of the area to feature prominently, and we worked closely together to come up with a selection that really works. A good example of my shots in context…

Art in the Arches

12th March 2013

Last year I photographed the new Sleeperz Hotel in Newcastle. The brochure below shows my shots as used in one of their brochures. The hotel recently celebrated it’s 1st birthday, and marked it with the opening of ‘Art in the Arches‘, a contemporary gallery space featuring local artists. The gallery is well worth a visit, and until May 31st shows the work of light artist Mick Stephenson. Also on display is a photographic timeline of the construction of the hotel, including 3 of my shots of the ‘finished article’. Nice to see the output for a client framed up and on display…
