Sunderland University

11th November 2015

A shot of Cityspace at Sunderland University – part of a larger project to document the campus and show it as a thriving place to study. Making use of composite techniques to include long exposures to capture trail lights of traffic, and shorter exposures to pick out individuals. More to follow…

Case study: Hacel Lighting

1st September 2015

Hacel Lighting are a lighting manufacturer based on North Tyneside. Last year they came to me to discuss commissioning photography of their products in-situ. They had a great catalogue of product shots, but very little showing the fantastic locations where their lighting has been installed. I’ve completed a few projects for them now, really adding to the resources they have available when it comes to marketing their products. Projects so far have included The Core at Science Central (Newcastle), Queen Elizabeth Hospital (Gateshead), The Old Low Light heritage centre (North Shields), VW Pullman showroom (near Durham) and Parsons Tower (Newcastle).

Keel Square

29th June 2015

The fantastic new Keel Square in Sunderland, shot for the Council from way up in a cherry-picker. Fantastic lighting system by Aurora Street Lighting. More to follow from this project…

19th March 2015

My recent project to document changes in the Sunderland area that have taken place over the past 8 years – investment in leisure and health facilities, school, offices, sea-front regeneration and much more – has been pulled together in an exhibition that opens tomorrow at Sunderland Minster. It runs until April 9th so for anyone interested in what’s been happening in Sunderland, or in architectural photography in general, please drop by to have a look.

More information can be found on the See It Do It Sunderland website.
