15/05/2009 - Setting a precedent at the BIPP!
On Wednesday I was awarded an Associateship at the British Institute of Professional Photography. I had applied at Licentiateship level, but for the first time in their history I was automatically upgraded to the next level!
The day involved the presentation of 20 prints from my architectural photography portfolio, along with a body of evidence showing where my work has been used.
All 4 judges were 'blown away' by the standard of my work, with one saying it had 'been an honour to see them', and another saying that I'd 'set a precedent'!
Needless to say I was over the moon. But I'm not stopping there. Their highest level is a Fellowship, and I'm going to start working towards that straight away.
